Social innovation, participation and the development of society

Soziale Innovation, Partizipation und die Entwicklung der Gesellschaft

Social innovation, participation and the development of society

Abstract

(DIPF/Orig.)

Climate change, a turnaround in growth, demographic changes, the global economic and financial crisis as well as the requirements of sustainability make new solutions to previously unknown problem constellations necessary. In this volume, authors from Denmark, Norway, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy deal with approaches to democratization, social innovation and participation, especially of disadvantaged groups. The international view is broadened beyond the European area to include analyses and approaches to action in two geopolitically explosive regions, the Islamic region as well as Kazakhstan and Georgia.
