Jugendtreff Arthaberbad - Jugend Box

Abstract

Nowadays the popular expression Smart City is often used in order to describe sustainability solution approaches for our future cities, aiming to optimize the cities in terms of social, ecological and economical aspects. This same method is the basis of this Master thesis which focuses on the Jugendtreff Arthaberbad in Vienna. For this building, a sustainable and holistic redesign is planned, with respect to the requirements and demands of various stakeholders like youths, employees, neighbors, municipal authorities and political decision maker. The redesign will be developed based on the results of a feasible study including the relevant social, economic and ecological aspects. The outcome of the thesis is producing realistic planning and implementation documents.
