Political and legal framework on adaptation to climate change
This articles aims at providing the legal approach towards adaptation as an essential element of living organisms response to climate change, for humans it mean to anticipate the negative effects of climate change and taking appropriate measures to prevent or minimize the damage that this phenomenon can cause, also adaptation can means to benefit from opportunities that may arise. Apparently, for now, a legal framework enabling the development of adaptation actions is in place. The multitude of strategies, programs, action plans, as well as lack of a specific legal framework for adaptation actions, result in lack of integrated climate change management. The authorities competent do not have neither sufficient processes nor levers to reduce degradation and negative impact of pollution, nor mechanisms to remove environmental threats, which require activities and tools additional to good and environmentally friendly practices.
