Mãos na Horta - O Caminho para uma alimentação mais sustentável
This manual is one of the outcomes of the SAL - Environmental Seed project, an environmental awareness pilot project under the ENEA 2020 Environmental Education Strategy, led by Food4Sustainability in partnership with Idanha-a-Nova Municipality. Its main objective is to raise awareness and promote healthy and sustainable food consumption habits in the population, by sharing knowledge about the importance of more sustainable production and consumption practices in the school community. Through awareness-raising and active participation, from the place of production to the place of consumption, the aim is to encourage more informed choices and, consequently, to promote changes in consumption habits and more sustainable behaviour. Thus, the 6th, 8th and 9th year classes of the José Silvestre Ribeiro Group of Schools in Idanha-a-Nova were invited to participate in the preparation of this Good Practices Manual "Hands in the Garden - the path to a more sustainable diet" ("Mãos na Horta - O Caminho para uma alimentação mais sustentável"), integrated in the themes of their Curricular Projects.
