Yeşil İnsan Kaynakları Yönetimi (YİKY), sürdürülebilir İnsan Kaynakları Yönetimi (İKY)’nin bir alt başlığı olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Çevre dostu yeşil uygulamaların organizasyonlarda hayata geçirilebilmesi için çalışanların bilinçlendirilmesi ve geliştirilmesi noktasında YİKY’ye önemli roller düşmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Kamu bankaları üzerinden YİKY uygulamalarının durumunu araştırmaktır. Araştırma iki aşamada gerçekleştirilmiştir. İlk aşamada YİKY ile ilgili literatür taraması yapılmış ve uygulamaları hakkında bilgiler toplanmıştır. İkinci aşamada, kamu bankalarının yayınlamış oldukları faaliyet ve sürdürülebilirlik raporlarından bilgiler derlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, işe alım, performans değerlendirme, eğitim ve geliştirme gibi temel insan kaynakları faaliyetlerinin yeşil insan kaynakları uygulamalarına uyumu üzerinden durulmuştur. Bulgular, yeşil insan kaynakları uygulamalarının sürdürülebilirlik yönetimi çerçevesinde değerlendirildiğini ortaya koymuştur. Yeşil insan kaynakları uygulamalarının iş ortamında yaygınlaştırılması ve çalışanlar tarafından benimsenmesi için kurum yöneticileri tarafından desteklenmesi yerinde olacaktır. Bu çalışma yeşil insan kaynaklarına yönelik saha çalışmalarının zenginleşmesine yönelik önemli bir katkı sunmayı hedeflemektedir. Çevreye uyumlu iş yeri ortamlarının oluşturulmasında İKY’nin rolünün ortaya koymaya yönelik bu tarz çalışmaların, iklim değişikliği ile mücadele yöntemlerinin çeşitlendirilmesini ve güçlendirilmesini sağlayacağı söylenebilir. Green Human Resources Management (YİKY) is considered as a sub-title of sustainable Human Resources Management (HRM). YİKY plays an important role in raising and developing the awareness of employees in order to implement eco-friendly green practices in organizations. The aim of this study is to investigate the status of YİKY practices over public banks. The research was carried out in two stages. In the first stage, a literature review was made about YİKY and information about its applications was collected. In the second stage, information was compiled from the activity and sustainability reports published by public banks. As a result of the research, the compatibility of basic human resources activities such as recruitment, performance evaluation, training and development with green human resources practices has been emphasized. Findings revealed that green human resources practices are evaluated within the framework of sustainability management. It would be appropriate to be supported by corporate managers in order to disseminate green human resources practices in the business environment and to be adopted by employees. This study aims to make an important contribution to the enrichment of field studies on green human resources. It can be said that such studies to reveal the role of Human Resources Management in the creation of environmentally compatible workplace environments will ensure the diversification and strengthening of the methods of combating climate change.
