Wachstumsuntersuchungen im substratlimitierten pH‐Auxostaten I. Bistabiles Wachstumsverhalten unter kaliumlimitierten Bedingungen
Abstract
AbstractThe substrate‐limited pH‐auxostat as a new method of continuous culture is introduced. It is the feature of this method that two medium solutions are given to the culture. The first contains the limiting substrate only and flow to the culture with a constant rate. The second, which contains all other substrates, is given over the pH‐auxostat principle.A bistability in the growth of yeast under potassium‐limited conditions was found and discussed.
