L’articolo descrive l’esperienza di una campagna sperimentale condotta presso Gallico Marina (RC) su una muratura in pietrame grezzo rappresentativa della muratura dell’area di Reggio Calabria. La campagna si articola in diverse prove in situ e a scala reale su pannelli, sia nella loro configurazione tipologica originaria che sottoposti a diverse tecniche di consolidamento, atte a colmarne le lacune strutturali ed individuarne l’effettiva efficacia. Nella presente memoria, sono affrontati solo i temi inerenti l’individuazione delle caratteristiche di base di elementi murari non rinforzati; i risultati delle prove condotte sulle configurazioni consolidate sono invece descritte in Borri et al. (2013). In particolare sono presentati i risultati di una prova a taglio-compressione (finalizzata alla caratterizzazione della risposta nel piano della muratura, attraverso la stima della resistenza e del modulo a taglio) e di una prova statica monotona in controllo di spostamenti (finalizzata alla caratterizzazione della risposta fuori piano) integrata con prove in oscillazioni libere (per la caratterizzazione delle proprietà dinamiche del blocco). Nella memoria sono illustrate le prime note circa i risultati ottenuti adottando opportuni modelli interpretativi per analizzarli e mettendo in evidenza anche le difficoltà che, in alcuni casi, l’esecuzione di test in situ può porre.

La applicazione in questione è specifica per l'ambito ferroviario, dovendo il sistema essere collocato sul tirante di poligonazione della linea area di contatto. Sono state indagate modalità di conversione dell'energia dalle vibrazioni generate dal contatto fra catenaria e pantografo, studiandone la possibile integrazione con la conversione dell'energia solare tramite celle fotovoltaiche. Sono stati quindi progettati e realizzati due prototipi di energy harvester a vibrazioni, basati su tecnica di conversione rispettivamente elettromagnetica e piezoelettrica. La fase di progettazione è stata affinata tramite simulazioni MATLAB e COMSOL, utilizzando il metodo degli elementi finiti, ed è stato curato il progetto dei circuiti di regolazione della tensione generata dai dispositivi. Sulla base del consumo del nodo sensore misurato ne è stata simulata la alimentazione da parte di un energy harvester solare al variare del periodo dell'anno. I dispostivi realizzati sono stati valutati attraverso varie misurazioni e sono state indagate tra gli sviluppi futuri possibili approcci per il miglioramento della tecnologia realizzata.

The contribution, based on the real case study of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, proposes a critical reflection on the model of Ecologically Equipped Production Areas (APEA), highlighting the importance of a broader vision that can integrate the different scales of intervention with the specificities of the contexts to which they belong, intertwining economic, social and spatial dynamics. From this point of view, Italy, as a center of the Mediterranean basin, can represent a context of experimentation for the reuse and regeneration of production areas, also increasing the competitiveness of the national production system.

These actions go through an important transformation of the energy sector, with the progressive decrease in the use of fossil fuels for the energy production, starting with coal which is the most polluting. This conversion process can represent a possibility of a technological renewal of the current plants operating in Italy and an opportunity for an employment growth with reference to the construction of the new plants and to the decommissioning of the existing plants which will close in the future.

Oggi le stesse biomasse da alcune Regioni sono ammesse alla digestione e da altre no. E’indispensabile una valutazione delle caratteristiche agronomiche del digestato e delle diverse forme di azoto contenute nelle due frazioni liquida e solida.

Dipartimento di Ingegneria e architettura Le questioni legate all'ambiente e alla sostenibilità, come la produzione e il riciclo dei rifiuti, la scarsità delle risorse naturali e il mantenimento dei benefici economici, hanno negli anni attirato sempre più l'attenzione della comunità scientifica, come testimoniano i numerosi studi al riguardo. In tale contesto, è il modello dell’Economia Circolare ad aver acquisito, recentemente, una notevole importanza. Facendo riferimento alla prospettiva di sviluppo sostenibile, l’Economia Circolare può essere definita come un sistema rigenerativo il cui obiettivo è quello di minimizzare gli input di risorse, i rifiuti prodotti, le emissioni e, in generale, l’energia consumata, attraverso il rallentamento, la chiusura e il restringimento dei cicli di materiali ed energia. In tempi recenti, l'attenzione della letteratura scientifica si è concentrata sui prodotti riciclati a causa del loro potenziale sia in termini economici che ecologici. I prodotti derivanti da un precedente utilizzo, infatti, possono essere riciclati e rigenerati per essere trasformati in prodotti “come nuovi” in termini di aspetto e prestazioni. Un prodotto, dopo il suo primo utilizzo, mantiene un valore residuo che può facilmente essere recuperato sottoponendolo a processi di rigenerazione e ricondizionamento: in questo modo i prodotti recuperati possono essere reintrodotti sul mercato e contribuire positivamente ai cicli economici. Pertanto, nel contesto dell’Economia Circolare, è necessario approfondire lo studio dell'intenzione dei consumatori di acquistare prodotti rigenerati o riciclati, tema che fino ad oggi è stato scarsamente investigato. A tal proposito il presente progetto di tesi si pone un duplice obiettivo al fine di colmare il gap di ricerca individuato: analizzare in modo sistematico la letteratura esistente sulla tematica dell’intenzione di acquisto dei prodotti riciclati e, successivamente, indagare, tramite survey statistica, ciò che determina l’intenzione di acquisto di un particolare prodotto green, ovvero lo smartphone ...

La applicazione in questione è specifica per l'ambito ferroviario, dovendo il sistema essere collocato sul tirante di poligonazione della linea area di contatto. Sono state indagate modalità di conversione dell'energia dalle vibrazioni generate dal contatto fra catenaria e pantografo, studiandone la possibile integrazione con la conversione dell'energia solare tramite celle fotovoltaiche. Sono stati quindi progettati e realizzati due prototipi di energy harvester a vibrazioni, basati su tecnica di conversione rispettivamente elettromagnetica e piezoelettrica. La fase di progettazione è stata affinata tramite simulazioni MATLAB e COMSOL, utilizzando il metodo degli elementi finiti, ed è stato curato il progetto dei circuiti di regolazione della tensione generata dai dispositivi. Sulla base del consumo del nodo sensore misurato ne è stata simulata la alimentazione da parte di un energy harvester solare al variare del periodo dell'anno. I dispostivi realizzati sono stati valutati attraverso varie misurazioni e sono state indagate tra gli sviluppi futuri possibili approcci per il miglioramento della tecnologia realizzata.

The contribution, based on the real case study of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, proposes a critical reflection on the model of Ecologically Equipped Production Areas (APEA), highlighting the importance of a broader vision that can integrate the different scales of intervention with the specificities of the contexts to which they belong, intertwining economic, social and spatial dynamics. From this point of view, Italy, as a center of the Mediterranean basin, can represent a context of experimentation for the reuse and regeneration of production areas, also increasing the competitiveness of the national production system.

These actions go through an important transformation of the energy sector, with the progressive decrease in the use of fossil fuels for the energy production, starting with coal which is the most polluting. This conversion process can represent a possibility of a technological renewal of the current plants operating in Italy and an opportunity for an employment growth with reference to the construction of the new plants and to the decommissioning of the existing plants which will close in the future.

Dipartimento di Ingegneria e architettura Le questioni legate all'ambiente e alla sostenibilità, come la produzione e il riciclo dei rifiuti, la scarsità delle risorse naturali e il mantenimento dei benefici economici, hanno negli anni attirato sempre più l'attenzione della comunità scientifica, come testimoniano i numerosi studi al riguardo. In tale contesto, è il modello dell’Economia Circolare ad aver acquisito, recentemente, una notevole importanza. Facendo riferimento alla prospettiva di sviluppo sostenibile, l’Economia Circolare può essere definita come un sistema rigenerativo il cui obiettivo è quello di minimizzare gli input di risorse, i rifiuti prodotti, le emissioni e, in generale, l’energia consumata, attraverso il rallentamento, la chiusura e il restringimento dei cicli di materiali ed energia. In tempi recenti, l'attenzione della letteratura scientifica si è concentrata sui prodotti riciclati a causa del loro potenziale sia in termini economici che ecologici. I prodotti derivanti da un precedente utilizzo, infatti, possono essere riciclati e rigenerati per essere trasformati in prodotti “come nuovi” in termini di aspetto e prestazioni. Un prodotto, dopo il suo primo utilizzo, mantiene un valore residuo che può facilmente essere recuperato sottoponendolo a processi di rigenerazione e ricondizionamento: in questo modo i prodotti recuperati possono essere reintrodotti sul mercato e contribuire positivamente ai cicli economici. Pertanto, nel contesto dell’Economia Circolare, è necessario approfondire lo studio dell'intenzione dei consumatori di acquistare prodotti rigenerati o riciclati, tema che fino ad oggi è stato scarsamente investigato. A tal proposito il presente progetto di tesi si pone un duplice obiettivo al fine di colmare il gap di ricerca individuato: analizzare in modo sistematico la letteratura esistente sulla tematica dell’intenzione di acquisto dei prodotti riciclati e, successivamente, indagare, tramite survey statistica, ciò che determina l’intenzione di acquisto di un particolare prodotto green, ovvero lo smartphone ...
