This article addresses the Energy Union from the perspective of energy efficiency. The research has a multidisciplinary character, which implies an economic analysis of an empirical type, but also a theoretical approach to the benefits of energy efficiency. The author analyzes the impact of the new energy regulations on efficiency in the European Union (EU), namely the in-depth review of the Directive on Buildings Energy Performance, the new heating and cooling strategy for the intelligent transformation of this sector, as well as the strategy for protecting vulnerable consumers. The effects of the new energy efficiency regulations are more significant in a number of Member States, but as soon as these will be applied throughout the EU, the beneficial effects of increased energy efficiency are likely to be felt in the entire EU area.

DIRECT MARKETING STRATEGIES USED IN PROMOTING SUSTAINABLE TOURISM. The present study focuses on bringing to light the fact that the perspective must be "drowned" in parallel / simultaneous actions taken primarily by companies (multinational, large, medium and small) as well as by final consumers. Climate change causes are becoming an increasingly persistent challenge for the country’s agri-food sector. The results of agricultural activities vary according to the impact of climate change. The agricultural producers are looking for new solutions to adapt to the respective challenges and to identify the models of stability of the level of production or even to increase it under these conditions. The soil tillage technology recommended by a large part of the well-known scientists in the field is the no till technology that today in the Republic of Moldova is at a stage of knowledge and experiment. In the application of this technology a role is played by the use of plant protection products and their profitability in relation to the economic results. This paper presents a comparative study of the application of plant protection products in the no till technology compared to the traditional one. This work is due to the increasing interest that has been emerging lately with this technology from farmers regarding its reasoning.

In the present paper we have analysed the possibilities of capitalizing the human potential of young specialists, which is a key element in ensuring the sustainability of an economy. Just as young specialists constitute a pillar of sustainability, the development of the human potential of young specialists provides the opportunity to ground and shape the path to an economy where innovation and progress are paving the way to sustainable development. In this paper, the ways of developing the human potential of young specialists were analysed, as well as the effects of this development. The methods that helped us advance in research were analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, scientific abstraction. This paper represents a complex approach to the main challenges that higher education institutions encounter on their way to achieving sustainability. Currently, most of the higher education institutions focus on quality assurance in the higher education process, trying to create options for capitalizing on competitive advantages. Just as sustainability focuses on ensuring a balance from a triple perspective, economic-social-environmental, universities must focus their attention on capitalizing and implementing sustainability in their day-to-day activity. At the same time, we must mention that in the context of the multiple innovative changes that have affected the higher education system, higher education institutions must identify effective possibilities to align themselves with the principles of achieving sustainability, through the mobilization and sensitivity of all its stakeholders. Thus, the research methodology focused on the use of multiple research methods, such as: analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, abduction, scientific abstraction. In the conclusions, we can reiterate that sustainable education is a "SMART facet" of postmodern education, which helps universities cultivate sustainability and identify efficient ways of aligning with the principles, values of a sustainable society.

In this paper we have analyzed the possibilities, the requirements for achieving sustainability that stand in the way of universities. As artisans of knowledge, higher education institutions need to find the most relevant and effective means to move towards achieving sustainability, not only at the university campus level but also at the level of curriculum, training and academic performance. Thus, the adoption of a relevant, effective methodology focused on concrete standards becomes indispensable for competitive higher education institutions. The research methods used focused on the use of the following methods: induction, deduction, scientific abstraction, analysis, synthesis, qualitative research. We believe that a competitive higher education institution is obliged to step firmly on the path of sustainability based on its own methodology focused on efficiency and performance, sustainability in relation to all stakeholders involved. The title of the article represents a field of research based on the approach of the renewable energy sources. It is multidisciplinary and is a part of the national and international energy policy, through the transfer and implementation of the latest technologies in energy engineering, with the primary goal of obtaining high-performance solutions and ensuring unlimited availability of local and national energy resources. The main objective of this project is the capitalization of renewable energy sources, which guarantees real premises for achieving the strategic objectives of increasing security in energy supply, based on diversification of sources and reducing the share of energy imports, sustainable development of the energy sector and environmental protection. Renewable energy sources can contribute primarily to meeting the current electricity needs in disadvantaged rural areas.

Over the past decades, there has been an increasing awareness of the impact of agritourism on the sustainable development of rural areas, given the fact that it can play an important role in the diversification of the agriculture, farming and tourism sectors. The present article analyzes the challenges and opportunities of agritourism, and the way in which it can change the competitiveness and quality of farms, underling also its positive effects on employment. Moreover, a deeper common recognition of the crucial implications of agritourism could allow and even generate more consistent political support – both at national and EU level – and a potential direct integration of this sector into rural policy funding schemes. In this context, we also analyze the role of the public authorities in identifying the most effective ways to promote and develop agritourism.
