This study is a modest interrogation on a subject that might constitute the main and first preoccupation and concern of the political authorities, at both national and international level: the climate issue. The efforts in the field of environment policy illustrate how difficult it is to approach this challenge and to find efficient, honest, and consensual solutions in order to manage the dynamic of the climate change/degradation and to avoid it's dramatic effects on human and non-human life.

This article examines the issues of efficient management of public funds through the application of sustainable public procurement. A large share of the acquisitions in European countries is public procurement, the state being a major consumer. Efficient management of public money can be achieved through sustainable public procurement, taking into account additional factors for obtaining social, environmental and economic benefits. In 2016 the Republic of Moldova, having ratified the Government Procurement Agreement of the World Trade Organization, has begun the introduction of the sustainable component to reduce the impact on the environment. In this paper we analyzed the essence and content of a business strategy applied in the field of tourism in order to increase the sustainability of companies in this field. Thus, in order to achieve competitiveness, world leaders develop competitive business strategies and apply them with particular attention in order to increase it but also to maintain a leading position on the market. Thus, the business strategy is a core of sustainability, of sustainability in the business field and must be applied with special attention but also always adapted to the changes in the market. The research methodology focused on the use of several research methods such as: analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, abduction, qualitative research. In conclusion, we note that business strategies in the field of tourism contribute beneficially to companies in order to ensure sustainable sustainability, but also to identify certain opportunities and threats that may appear on the market and that can be exploited by companies. Driven by the existing energy policies, the use of renewable energy has increased considerably all over the world in order to respond to the increasing energy consumption and to reduce the environmental impact of the electricity generation. Although most policy makers and companies are focusing on large applications, the use of cheap small generation units, based on local renewable resources, has become increasingly attractive for the general public, small farms and remote communities. The paper presents several results of a research project aiming to identify the power quality issues and the impact of RES based distributed generation (DG) or other non-linear loads on low voltage (LV) distribution networks in Romania; the final goal is to develop a Universal Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) able to diminish the existing disturbances. Basically, the work analyses the existing DG technologies and identifies possible solutions for their integration in Romania; taking into account the existent state of the art, the attention was paid on small systems, using wind and solar energy, and on possibility to integrate them into suburban and rural LV distribution networks. The presence of DG units at distribution voltage level means the transition from traditional passive to active distribution networks. In general, the relatively low penetration levels of DG does not produce problems; however, the nowadays massive increase of local power generation have led to new integration challenges in order to ensure the reliability and quality of the power supply. Power quality issues are identified and their assessment is the key element in the design of measures aiming to diminish all existing disturbances.

This articles aims at providing the legal approach towards adaptation as an essential element of living organisms response to climate change, for humans it mean to anticipate the negative effects of climate change and taking appropriate measures to prevent or minimize the damage that this phenomenon can cause, also adaptation can means to benefit from opportunities that may arise. Apparently, for now, a legal framework enabling the development of adaptation actions is in place.The multitude of strategies, programs, action plans, as well as lack of a specific legal framework for adaptation actions, result in lack of integrated climate change management. The authorities competent do not have neither sufficient processes nor levers to reduce degradation and negative impact of pollution, nor mechanisms to remove environmental threats, which require activities and tools additional to good and environmentally friendly practices.

Measures for limiting environmental pollution by power plants using fossil fuel sources and for efficient use of local energy sources can cause significant changes in the structure of the electricity distribution networks through the development of micro-grids that can operate practically isolated or connected to the public electricity network, which ensures bilateral exchanges of energy. The microgrid requires a detailed analysis of the level of quality of electricity supplied to the microgrid. The detailed analysis of technical solutions is needed to ensure a necessary level of electric energy quality in practically isolated microgrid. Some of the specific conditions of microgrid operation are analyzed, which will ensure operation of the system at the action of disturbances.

The year 2020 writes a page of history for the nations of the world, characterized by the fight against a factor that affects human life and its normal evolution. The Covid-19 pandemic came as a shock to health and economic systems, putting states and international organizations in the exceptional position to develop quick and effective measures for protecting the population and recovering the economy. The impact of this health crisis was also felt in the energy sector where significant decreases in energy demand, prices, and investments were recorded. The present study will refer to the direction of European and Romanian energy policy in recent years, with emphasis on the critical period we are going through. We will observe the current status of climate targets, using the latest statistical data, the interests of diversifying supply routes, but also the medium and long-term perspectives in the field.

Climate change is one of the most important challenges that humanity faces in the 21st century, and for the European Union, combating this phenomenon represents an important element, which is reflected both in the actions carried out in recent years, domestically and internationally, as well as in the EU policy on climate change. Within the EU, regulations were adopted, that demonstrate the importance that the Union confers to the limitation of this phenomenon, stressing at the same time the need for an integrated policy framework to ensure the security for potential investors and a coordinated approach between Member States. This paper will present recent developments for the most important policies to combat and mitigate climate change in the European Union, starting with "20-20-20" objectives, which are to be met through the package "Energy-Climate Change", continuing with 2030 and 2050 timeframes, and finally presenting the main lines of action to combat climate change.

The aim of the research was to analyze the sustainability clauses in the national legislation of different countries around the world. To achieve this goal, the author identified, systematized, and analyzed the GPPD World Bank database. From the analysis performed, the author concludes that the lifetime cost criterion is most frequently applied. At the same time, the mapping of the national legislation of the Republic of Moldova allowed us to find that the national legal framework allows the integration of sustainable procurement principles, which justifies the need to adopt a public procurement system model, focusing on 2030 sustainable development objectives.
